We asked for a few extra minutes job the room at checkout (which is early at 11) and we’re briskly and firmly told no- even though it was a weekday and very sloooow. You had to ask for a coffee maker and repealed requests to get coffee after the first day were ignored. We asked for example to see another ring that we were considering a substantial upgrade to- and were told we could not see it before upgrading- they didn’t want to w as ll us up or trust that we could take a look without messing up the room (?) Our room worked out fine- quiet and large with a great view… but it was dirty! There were disgusting splatters on the Formica and chrome furniture (photo doesn’t really show how bad it was) and there was a sticker and paper on the floor from the moment we checked in until we left. It was clear from the start that hotel workers are trained to say no to any requests outside the norm. We heard good things about the hotel so decided to splurge for a big suite and give it a go. After 20 years, my husband and I decided to try Atlantic City again for a romantic getaway.
